Many years ago in Germany, Pilentum Television was born when the author Markus Lenz was trying to make photos and videos of miniature cars in macro photography mode. Because toy cars did not move, Markus was looking for other objects to film. Finally, he found model trains. It is like a challenge to make videos in macro photography mode of model trains in action. In the course of time a preference has emerged to film model railway layouts and model railroad displays to create entertaining, high-quality video documentations. Today, Pilentum Television is one of the leading video networks for toy trains, model trains, model railroading and railway modelling. Pilentum Television presents high-quality documentaries about the wonderful miniature world of model trains. Our modern world offers an unbelievable number of leisure activities, such as video games, railway simulations on the computer and much more. Therefore, such a wonderful hobby as rail modeling should not be forgotten. Model railroading is educationally valuable, and railway modelling promotes the creativity of children. Finally, model trains are a great hobby for adults. Actually, Pilentum Television offers more than 350 videos on YouTube, Dailymotion and Amazon Prime Video, for free. In order to keep track of all video films, this e-book was created. It is a filmography containing descriptions and additional information about Pilentum Television’s movies.

During the mid-1980s, in a drive for greater efficiency, British Rail required another heavy freight locomotive, some of the earlier Type 5 freight locomotives being outdated and no longer regarded as suitable for heavy freight duties. The new Class 60 locomotive was to be constructed using lessons learned from the Classes 56 and 58. Six organisations were invited to tender but only three did so. The contract was awarded to Brush Electrical Machines (today, Brush Traction, part of the Wabtec Rail Group) for a powerful 60mph Type 5 Co-Co design, which resulted in an order being placed for one hundred Class 60 diesel-electric locomotives. Using original research from the National Archives, British Rail Class 60 Locomotives is a high illustrated guide that explores the commissioning of the Class 60s and their construction, testing and running. It undertakes an in-depth technical appraisal of the class and details names, liveries, modifications and preservation and includes the 'Super 60' refurbishment programme and acquisition of ten Class 60s for Colas Rail UK, bringing the timeline to the present day. Of interest to all diesel loco enthusiasts and railway modellers, thie book is lavishly illustrated with 280 colour and black & white photographs, many previously unpublished.

Train Aerodynamics: Fundamentals and Applications is the first reference to provide a comprehensive overview of train aerodynamics with full scale data results. With the most up-to-date information on recent advances and the possibilities of improvement in railway facilities, this book will benefit railway engineers, train operators, train manufacturers, infrastructure managers and researchers of train aerodynamics. As the subject of train aerodynamics has evolved slowly over the last few decades with train speeds gradually increasing, and as a result of increasing interest in new train types and high-speed lines, this book provides a timely resource on the topic. - Examines the fundamentals and the state-of-the-art of train aerodynamics, beginning with experimental, numerical and analytical tools, and then thoroughly discussing the specific approaches in other sections - Features the latest developments and progress in computational aerodynamics and experimental facilities - Addresses problems relating to train aerodynamics, from the dimensioning of railway structures and trains, to risk analysis related to safety issues and maintenance - Discusses basic flow patterns caused by bridges and embankments
