Before there was a modern-day town called Dark Moon Vale, there was an ancient kingdom nestled in the Transylvanian Alps. Before there was a primordial species called the Vampyr, there was a celestial race begotten of gods and men. Before light battled shadow, the sacrifice became mandatory, or the first Blood Moon adorned the celestial sky... There was The Curse. A punishment. An abomination. The ultimate act of vengeance. And it was placed upon a people so corrupted by their thirst for blood and dominion that they awakened the souls of the slain and became the souls of the damned: Young, beautiful, and in the prime of her life, Jessenia Groza is not ready to die. Yet she has been condemned by Prince Jaegar's men, slated as a sacrifice to the gods. Timaos Silivasi would gladly risk everything - his power, his privilege, his celestial heart - to save his one true love, but fate has a plan of its own... For this couple. For this civilization. For this lost race of warriors, who will never be the same. Every legend has a beginning... BLOOD GENESIS: prequel to the Blood Curse Series

It is a rarely discussed fact of history that the premise of Darwinian evolution has been deeply rooted in the worst racist ideology since its inception. This significant book gives a thorough account of the effects of evolution on the history of the United States, including slavery and the Civil rights movement, and goes beyond to show the global harvest of death and tragedy that still finds its roots in Darwin's destructive writings. The tragic legacy of Darwin"s controversial speculations on evolution has led to terrible consequences taken to the deadliest extremes. One Race One Blood reveals the origins of these horrors, as well as the truth revealed in Scripture that God created only one race. You will discover: • Nazi Germany used evolutionary concepts to justify the extermination of "unfit" people groups such as Jews, Gypsies, and Slavs • The origins of people groups, the genetics of skin color, and the biblical truths on "interracial" marriage • Eye-opening discussion on racism and its roots in the hearts and minds of millions still today. Within these compelling pages, Dr. A. Charles Ware, president of Crossroads Bible College, and Ken Ham, president of Answers in Genesis examine the historical roots of racism that have permeated evolutionary thought, and the Bible's response to this disturbing issue. This is a crucial and timely study that profoundly addresses the Christian worldview regarding "race" from a compassionate and uniquely compelling perspective.

The culmination of years of fieldwork in southern Malawi, River of Blood reconstructs the beginnings of the Mbona martyr cult, follows its history to the present day, and reveals the fascinating intersections of an indigenous belief system with European Christianity. In the cult of Mbona, the central African mythology of the snake that is beheaded to make the rains come has been combined with a more spiritual interpretation: the snake has been transformed into a human martyr and redeemer. According to the cult, the rainmaker Mbona was tracked down by his enemies; they cut off his head, and his blood formed the River of Blood. Mbona returned as a storm wind and asked that a shrine be dedicated in his name. J. Matthew Schoffeleers recounts how the Portuguese presence in Zambezia in the period 1590-1622 led to more than three decades of internecine warfare and caused the people of southern Malawi tremendous suffering. In response to this political oppression and social upheaval, Schoffeleers shows, the people looked to Mbona, their "black Jesus," for redemption. Beyond reconstructing the cult's genesis, Schoffeleers traces its recent history, particularly in political context. He provides texts of seven cult myths from different historical periods in both Chimang'anja and English. His analysis presents the Mbona myth as a continuous social construction and deconstruction. Emphasizing the impact of political and spiritual oppression on the cult, he distinguishes between the differing versions of the myth preserved by the aristocracy and by the commonalty and demonstrates how these disparate views unite to preserve historical information. In so doing, he shows that cults serve as valuable repositories for historical information.

The Book of Genesis is a book of beginnings. It contains Gods promise of a safe end for us all; the promise that we can base our lives upon and it contains the knowledge of good versus evil. The goal of this book is to bring us a better understanding of Gods Word; to help us realize the peace and the love that comes with giving God first place in our hearts through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. When God created this world, He knew what would happen. He knew that man would sin. But God wanted to give us freedom of choice. He wants a family that loves Him and wants to be with Him. Thats why He put a plan in place to help us overcome the penalty of sin. Gods Word, and the study of books like this, help us to grow stronger in the knowledge of Him. The more that we understand, the more we will tend to make Jesus Lord over. As you read this, you will come to understand how to walk in faith instead of fear. You will also come to know God through Jesus in a greater and more understanding way.

The creation narrative in the early chapters of Genesis proved irresistible to the church fathers. Following the apostle Paul, they explored the six days of creation and the profound significance of Adam as a type of Christ, the second Adam. With comment from Basil the Great, Ambrose, and Augustine, this ACCS volume on Genesis 1-11 opens up a treasure house of ancient wisdom.
