DOWNLOAD EBOOKA Phase I archeological survey of the Purcell property: a 42-acre+ parcel located between the intersections of Davis Ford Road (Route 663) with Bacon Race Road (Route 896) to the north and Asdee Lane (Route 706) to the south in Prince William County, Virginia. The archeological survey was conducted at the request of the Prince William County Office of Planning. The archeological survey was composed of documentary research and fieldwork. Historical research established that the Purcell property study area was originally part eighteenth-century land grants. Between the nineteenth and first half of the twentieth centuries, the study area was owned by the Fairfax and Davis families.

DOWNLOAD EBOOKDocumentary research established that the study area was originally part of a 30,000-acre Northern Neck land grant in 1687. The Prince William County Office of Planning requested that the archeological survey be completed on the 3-acre +/- Nokesville Road study area as an initial step in the development of this property. The study was conducted between December 2004 and January 2005.
