The primary objective of the proposed project is to evaluate the capabilities of Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) based controls for grid operations. This includes monitoring and control at the secondary transformer level using existing AMI infrastructure. In addition, some of the challenges of using a model-less control will also be identified. The lessons learned will be disseminated to other utilities around the country through peer-reviewed publications with the consent of SDG&E. The scope of the work includes using data from SDG&E's existing AMI infrastructure and working with third party vendors selected by SDG&E. The grid edge monitoring systems and controls provided by the selected vendors will perform grid operations using AMI data. The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) will perform a software and controller-based evaluation of the grid edge controller, intelligent devices and sensors, at the Energy System Integration Facility (ESIF) laboratory.

The Oklahoma Secretary of Commerce Tourism (OSCT) seeks to address perceived challenges and barriers to the deployment of distributed energy generation resources (DERs), including solar and other technologies, in the state of Oklahoma. The Scope of Work (SOW) outlines follow-on tasks related to the previous CRADA # CRD-18-762. The first task will finalize the Interactive Valuation Model Requirements Document, the final draft of which was provided in June 2018. The second task includes the building, validation, and finalization of the interactive valuation model for expressing distributed energy resource value based on user inputs to be completed by June 30, 2019. Training for how to prepare the data inputs and use the model will also be provided. To address perceived challenges and barriers to the deployment of distributed energy generation resources (DERs), including solar and other technologies, in the state of Oklahoma, the work under this CRADA will: 1) finalize the draft Interactive Valuation Model Requirements Document delivered in June 2018; 2) finish building and validating the interactive valuation model for expressing DER value based on user inputs, and 3) provide training for use of this model.

We will leverage new building performance and daylighting simulation tools to characterize the performance of a new electrochromic (EC) glazing as well as perform a field evaluation of the same product installed in a DoD facility. The in situ data will be used to validate and calibrate the simulation model, which will then be used to extrapolate the performance of the product across all USclimate zones. The property as part of this agreement will be installed at MCAS Miramar, California.

Under the funds-in CRADA agreement, NREL and CENER will collaborate in the areas of blade and drivetrain testing facility development and code development. The project shall include NREL assisting in the review and instruction necessary to assist in commissioning the new CENER blade test and drivetrain test facilities. In addition, training will be provided by allowing CENER testing staff to observe testing and operating procedures at the NREL blade test and drivetrain test facilities. CENER and NREL will exchange blade and drivetrain facility and equipment design and performance information. The project shall also include exchanging expertise in code development and data to validate numerous computational codes.

The objective of this project is to improve distributed energy resources (DER) technology, time, and locational impact analysis by incorporating customer adoption intentions and preferences into distribution planning and operations. The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) shall collaborate with EPRI staff to contribute to the development of methodology, literature review, analysis, and write-up for two sections of a report "Identification and Overview of Methods for Mapping DER Adoption Forecasts" and "Comparative Analysis of Methods for Mapping DER Adoption Forecasts."
