Jurisdiction of municipal corporation, policc and other inferior courts, established for thc enforcement of local police regulations, depends upon the constitution and laws of the state, and the particular charter or legislative act creating them. In the absence of constitutional restriction the legislature may define the jurisdiction of such courts.1 Ordinarily their jurisdiction is limited to prosecutions for the violation of municipal ordinances and local police regulations.
