It has been thought that, in addition to the biographical sketches scattered here and there through the volume, the portraits of some of the men who have helped to make the Seminary would contribute to its interest. As a matter of course, a selection had to be made among both professors, directors and trustees. Some, therefore, will doubtless be missed from the list who would be deemed entitled to an equal place with the others in point of ability, zeal and faithful ser vice to the Seminary.
