DOWNLOAD EBOOKA Glance at Nineteenth Century Concept of PHRENOLOGY: Skull Bumps are a Mirror of Brain Faculties! Phrenology was a nineteenth century endeavour to link personality traits with scalp morphology, which has been both influential and fiercely criticised, not least because of the assumption that scalp morphology can be informative of underlying brain function. Phrenology is the study of the shape of the head through the examination and measurement of the bumps on an individual's skull. Phrenology was one of the early biological theories of criminology and laid the foundation for the development of the biological school of criminology. Scientists discredited phrenology by the mid-1800s, although phrenology readings continued to have moments of popularity during the late 1800s and early 1900s. While phrenology was eventually shown to be pseudoscience, the idea that certain abilities might be linked to specific areas of the brain did have an influence on the field of neurology and the study of the localization of brain functions. Thus, an effort has been made in this E-Booklet to describe a few interesting aspects of Phrenology e. g. History, Applications, Methods, Prevalence in contemporary cultures along with plenty of Rare Historical Images of the Scriptures/Scholars of 19th Century for better understanding of this Novel Nineteenth Century endeavour to link Personality Traits with Scalp Morphology. …Dr. H.
