DOWNLOAD EBOOKExcerpt from A Commentary on the Holy Scriptures: Critical, Doctrinal, and Homiletical; With Special Reference to Ministers and Students The volume on the minor prophets is partly in advance of the German original, which has not yet reached the three post-exilian Prophets. The commentaries on the nine earlier Prophets by Professors kleinert and schmoller appeared in separate numbers some time agol; but for Haggai, Zechariah, and Malachi, Dr. Lange has not, to this date, been able to secure a suitable co-laborer.2 With his cordial approval I deem it better to complete the volume by original commentaries than indefinitely to postpone the publication. They were prepared by sound and able scholars, in conformity with the plan of the whole work. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
