To correct this condi tion the Twenty-second General Assem bly enacted a law, supplementary to that of 1909, giving the bureau author ity to require state, county, city, town, precinct and school district officers, owners, Operators and managers of manufacturing, mining and other busi ness establishments and certain other persons to furnish such informa tion as may be required for prop erly setting forth the resources of the state and their development. This law also provides for co-opera tion between the State Board of Im migration and the Bureau of Crop Estimates of the United States Depart ment of Agriculture in the collection and publication of information regard ing livestock and acreage, condition and production of all creps, and re quires county assessors, when making the annual property assessment, to col lect for the bureau a wide variety of information regarding farm Opera tions, the principal farm products, agricultural resources and livestock.
