Window of Grace displays the love of God and His people when tragedy strikes. A mother must climb out of a second-story window of a townhouse onto the slanted roof, walk across the roof, and climb through another second-story window to find her daughter has passed away. As she experiences the overwhelming sadness of a deceased thirty-three-year-old daughter, she explains over forty-one occurrences of the Lords intervention. Included in the interventions is an EMT on sight, a basket of love, a thirty-fourth birthday party, and a vision of heaven. The chapter Letters of Love is letters she received from the EMT himself and other women who have experienced a similar tragedy. These letters of love contain so much sincerity and pouring out of love and compassion that your heart tenders as you see how this mother is embraced. She attends a Night of Remembrance, where she places a dove on a Christmas tree in honor of her daughter. That dove with her daughters name on it is now a new Christmas tradition on her own Christmas tree. She tells how she managed the first Christmas holiday without her daughter. At the Celebration of Life for her daughter, the unexpected surprises she learns about her daughter are overwhelming. She realizes she did not know her daughter as she thought she did. The burden of a second tragedy strikes when she receives the shocking news from the medical examiner explaining the cause of death. The raw emotion revealed in Window of Grace sustains healing by the love of the Lord and His people.

Glimpses of God's Grace in the Hospital Room If you've ever spent time in a hospital, you know that it can be a place of struggles and hardships. These hardships aren't limited to physical problems; often when our bodies are in pain, our spiritual lives can suffer too. Former trauma surgeon Dr. Kathryn Butler experienced this firsthand as she walked alongside patients, colleagues, and friends through various illnesses and aching loss. In Glimmers of Grace, Butler draws from this experience to guide believers through the deep questions of God's trustworthiness in the midst of suffering. Blending memoir and devotional reflections, Butler interweaves her own stories of grace with narratives from Scripture to reveal how God's steadfast love endures even in times of great affliction.

Gideon O’Riley has been given another chance at a life with Lonnie. But will the fight for her heart risk it all over again? After finally finding love with his sweet bride Lonnie, Gideon’s heart was torn when a woman from his past claimed to be his true and rightful wife, forcing him away from his family. God’s merciful hand saw Gideon through the heartache, and with Cassie’s blessing, he is able to return home. But his journey back through the Blue Ridge Mountains will hold a trial he never anticipated. Meanwhile, Lonnie determines to seal off her heart from Gideon, convinced he is lost to her forever. Strengthening her resolve to move on is her growing fondness for the handsome Scotsman, Toby McKee—the young reverend she has come to care for deeply. His proposal of marriage offers a bright future for her and her young son. Yearning to allow joy back into her life, Lonnie must put aside the broken pieces of her heart that still love Gideon. Paul and the Gift transformed the landscape of Pauline studies upon its publication in 2015. In it, John Barclay led readers through a recontextualized analysis of grace and interrogated Paul’s original meaning in declaring it a “free gift” from God, revealing grace as a multifaceted concept that is socially radical and unconditioned—even if not unconditional. Paul and the Power of Grace offers all of the most significant contributions from Paul and the Gift in a package several hundred pages shorter and more accessible. Additionally, Barclay adds further analysis of the theme of gift and grace in Paul’s other letters—besides just Romans and Galatians—and explores contemporary implications for this new view of grace.
