Words evolve in definition over the centuries, as well as from one path in life to another. The word cave is a case in point. For mediums, the word originates as boveda (BO-vay-dah). The boveda consists of a grouping of glass goblets representing the spiritual quadrant of each medium. Boveda can also mean hidden treasure box. Indeed, this spiritual cave is a sanctuary from which our entities whisper their messages to us.

The search for a connection with the other side of the veil of life has existed since the first humans began inhabiting our planet. Tons of well written material about establishing this connection have been overwhelming the shelves of our libraries. This provides a visual line of education on the subject. However, the actual techniques begin where the reading ends. Very few books actually instruct new spiritist mediums on the emotions and the physical changes they will experience during the process of establishing themselves as a bridge between the living and the souls around us. Whispers from the Cave delves much deeper into the how, what, and why of mediumship. It is not a question of "having an experience with the dead" rather of establishing permanent connections. The word medium is self-explanatory. It is not a noun, per se. More like a verb...an action that stands in between two worlds as a plank connects two ships across the waters between them. Educating people on true mediumship has always been my primary motivation in all of my writings, as well as my appearances on radio, and speaking publicly. I trust that this book, as well as my other publication, Mesa Blanca: the White Altar, will provide an immersion into mediumship, free of the frills, showmanship, and publicity-driven performance. When people consult a medium, they are often literally putting their lives in your hands. Responsibility is the prime key to unlock a path that will bring blessings of appreciation to both medium and client. If you are dedicated and spiritual to a strong degree, open the pages and listen to the whispers... Born in New York City's borough of The Bronx in 1946, F. Guevara has been a medium all of his life. In particular, the last sixty-odd years have seen him evolve spiritually into the medium he is today. Elder of his own temple, reader, conductor of seances, known as Misas, and a mentor to countless mediums from all walks of life, F. Guevara takes a great pride in his life's word. He has appeared on various radio programs. He currently lives in central Florida, with his wife, grandson, and their little, black Shih-Tzu named-what else-Ebony.

A gothic tale set in a rambling house by the sea in which a maid cares for a mute old woman with a mysterious past, alongside her superstitious staff--from the author of The Silent Companions. A perfect spooky read! Consumption has ravaged Louise Pinecroft's family, leaving her and her father alone and heartbroken. But Dr. Pinecroft has plans for a revolutionary experiment: convinced that sea air will prove to be the cure his wife and children needed, he arranges to house a group of prisoners suffering from the disease in the caves beneath his new Cornish home. While he devotes himself to his controversial medical trials, Louise finds herself increasingly discomfited by the strange tales her new maid tells of the fairies that hunt the land, searching for those they can steal away to their realm. Forty years later, Hester arrives at Morvoren House to take up a position as nurse to the now partially paralyzed and mute Miss Pinecroft. Hester has fled to Cornwall to try to escape her past, but surrounded by superstitious staff enacting bizarre rituals, she soon discovers her new home may be just as dangerous as her last. Laura Purcell's THE SHAPE OF DARKNESS is now out from Penguin!

A compulsively readable novel in the vein of The Bonfire of the Vanities—by way of The Nest—about what Washington, DC’s high society members do away from the Capitol building and behind the closed doors of their suburban mansions. They are the families considered worthy of a listing in the exclusive Green Book—a discriminative diary created by the niece of Edith Roosevelt’s social secretary. Their aristocratic bloodlines are woven into the very fabric of Washington—generation after generation. Their old money and manner lurk through the cobblestone streets of Georgetown, Kalorama and Capitol Hill. They only socialize within their inner circle, turning a blind eye to those who come and go on the political merry-go-round. These parents and their children live life free of consequences in a gilded existence of power and privilege. But what they have failed to understand is that the world is changing. And when the family of one of their own is held hostage and brutally murdered, everything about their legacy is called into question. They’re called The Cave Dwellers.

Liz Carr and Kim Henson find they have only skimmed the surface when it comes to the mysteries of the past and their lingering effects on the present. They are about to learn their lives and those of John Carter and Mark Adams are hopelessly tangled with Arvashan’s in a way they could never have expected. The four friends, the local priest and the ineffable Benjamin McCann himself, have worked hard to return peace to McCann’s Manor, only to find each step forward has brought ever-increasing repercussions, leading them deeper into Arvashan’s diabolical schemes.
