In May of 2001, he obtained a Masters in Business Administration with two concentrations: Finance and Management. Upon graduating with an MBA, he joined Sodexho as a service manager and was posted at Xavier University of Louisiana. Within ten months he was promoted to Director of operations in dining services at the same institution. He was recognized for various accomplishments including a masterly performance rating in fiscal year 2001/2002, exceeded expectations in fiscal year 2002/2003 by Sodexho at the account level.
