In Lady into Fox, Silvia Tebrick, the 24-year-old wife of Richard Tebrick, suddenly becomes a fox while they are out walking in the woods. Exasperated, John compares his situation with the caged animals they are viewing and decides to join them as an exhibit. No group of wild mammals so universally captures the emotions of people world-wide than do wild canids.
