David Goddard's Tree of Sapphires offers students of the occult a working knowledge of the Qabalah, providing them with the key to unlocking the ancient and modern Western mystery traditions for themselves. Avoiding heavy theory about Qabalah, Goddard offers exercises, meditations, and visualizations, as well as a prayer book to help readers gain a full understanding and experience of the Qabalah and its Tree of Life, the root of all wisdom. He explains that the Qabalah is the root source of all Western mystery traditions -- Kabbalist, Rosicrucian and Sufi -- as well as the more modern, classic Western systems, such as the tarot, alchemy, angelology, and ritual magick. Tree of Sapphires is an experiential guidebook. "Qabalah of the West is a synthesis that is strong in its spiritual armory and rich in its mystical treasury," Goddard writes. "It has inherited many formulae and techniques that make it versatile and adaptable to most life situations and conditions... Its roots draw from the primordial past but it has proven throughout history its adaptability to give to successive generations first-hand knowledge of the Levels of Existence. The Qabalah is a tried and tested way by which dedicated men and women may grow into their full potential -- as consciously eternal and immortal beings." And with these meditations and exercises Goddard teaches us just how to do that.

Inheritance: Covenants, Kingdoms, Bodies and Nations is a study on a Christian's inheritance in the Lord. It examines a range of subjects dealing with God's covenants to what those covenants represent to how a Christian can better gird themselves up with the tools and weapons of the Lord to fight the spiritual fight we must all partake in if we hope to overcome in these final days. Inheritance also shines a light on a great many subjects surrounding the theme of inheritance through the lens of the Old Testament prophets. This book was developed from a series of revelations give to the author after struggling through a desert of trials that lasted exactly ten years to the day. Mistakes in interpretation will always occur. Please feel free to disagree with any of my conclusions.

Sapphires is written to entertain. Its conflict of ideals and outcome may surprise some, startle a few, and morally disturb many. Hopefully the reader will cry a little, think a little, and laugh a little. During the Vietnam conflict, Hanoi ingeniously created a drug-cash-weapons triangle, patiently exploiting greed and personal weaknesses in its victorious efforts. Using narcotics from Burma as an offensive and defensive weapon, Hanoi directed the sale of drugs to military personnel and used the profits to purchase arms and munitions, often from U.S. supply depots. In addition, Hanoi used strategic timing and flooded U.S. troops with cheap narcotics, hindering military effectiveness. Thailand was a major highway for drugs into Vietnam. Prevented, by diplomatic treaty, from taking direct military action, the Joint Chiefs of Staff created a multi-service covert unit, code name Sapphire, to interrupt the drug-cash-weapons triangle and identify as many corrupt U.S. military personnel as possible. U.S. Army colonel and Sapphire group leader, code name Blue, was John Leopold. John, a former SEAL, is a darling of the Joint Chiefs and on track to become a general officer. His carefully handpicked team consists of a navy lieutenant, code name Orange; a marine captain, code name Green; an air force nurse, code name Black; a Thai national, code name Clear; and a Burmese national, code name Yellow. The Sapphires' main opponent is a Burmese family who raise and package for market a highly profitable farm product - heroin. The Zawatees, headed by the family matriarch, Su Song, use profits from heroin to supply educational, health care, electric, and other services for the citizens of their southern Burma district, a district with a higher standard of living than in all of Burma. The Zawatees, and the citizens of their district, fight for the right to export their highly profitable farm product in order to afford and enjoy a high quality of life and first-world privileges. The Sapphires'; through diplomacy, battle, personal sacrifice, and tragedy, manage a degree of success. While planning and carrying out the final Sapphire-Zawatee confrontation, Colonel Leopold, who has come to admire his adversary, resolves some very strong personal and cultural ideals.

Since the 1990s, the Ankarana region of northern Madagascar has developed a reputation among globe-trotting gemstone traders and tourists as a source of some of the world's most precious natural wonders. Although some might see Ankarana's sapphire and ecotourist trades as being at odds with each other, many local people understand these trades to be fundamentally connected, most obviously in how both serve foreign demand for what Madagascar has to offer the world. Walsh explores the tensions and speculations that have come with the parallel emergence of these two trades with sensitivity and a critical eye, allowing for insights into globalization, inequality, and the appeal of the "natural." Eliot’s Four Quartets is arguably the finest long poem in modern English literature. It is also one that presents considerable problems of interpretation. In Word Unheard, first published in 1969, Blamires aims to unravel some of these problems by guiding the reader line by line through the poem, blending paraphrase with commentary. Blamires pays particular attention to the philosophical and theological dimensions of the poem and to its multifarious personal, historical and literary allusions. This title will be of interests to students of literature.
