Major Thomas Jones (1665-1713) immigrated to Warwick, R.I., from Straubane, Co., Tyronne, Ireland in 1692. He married Freelove Townsend (1674-1726), who was the daughter of Thomas Townsend. They had seven children. They lived at Massapequa, L.I. Arrabella Jones married Richard Floyd. Relatives were so intermarried, that their descendants assumed the name of Floyd-Jones. Descendants and relatives lived in New York, Missouri, Montana, Illinois, Massachusetts and elsewhere.
