Glanders had been introduced by importations from all adjoining States and Territories. The attack began immediately every where it was found. The details, of the combined efforts of State and Local Boards, up to October 1, 1888 will be found in the previous reports, but I' add the general statistics, as abstracted from those reports as a proper introduction to this one. Excerpt from Nineteenth Report of the State Board of Health and Vital Statistics of Minnesota, 1901-1902 This report does not cover an entire period of two years, for in the process of changing the beginning of the biennial period from January to August, there was an unavoidable lapping over of time. This work is therefore taken up where the last biennial report of the board ended, and is carried to August 1, 1902.
