Set in the same world as Faith Hunter’s New York Times bestselling Jane Yellowrock novels, the second Soulwood novel tells the story of a woman whose power comes from deep within the earth... Before Nell Ingram met skinwalker Jane Yellowrock, she had no one to rely on, finding strength only in her arcane connection to the dark woods around her. But now she has friends in the newly formed PsyLED team to keep her grounded—even if being part of the agency responsible for policing paranormals comes with dangers of its own.... After training at the PsyLED academy, Nell returns home to her woods to find the land feeling sick and restless. And that sickness is spreading. With the help of her team, under the leadership of agent Rick LaFleur, Nell tries to determine the cause. But nothing can prepare them for the evil that awaits: an entity that feeds on death itself. And it wants more....

A beautifully written collection of essays for anyone who’s ever lived in that unwieldy group called family—a story that takes us from Iowa to the high country of Wyoming and Montana as a woman and her husband search for the perfect place to raise their five daughters and five sons. Rooted in real-life experience, this unique essay collection of passion, intimacy, work, religion, puberty, love and loss, and the struggle to be steadfast in times of enormous social change reads like a novel—full of lively characters, spirited dialogue, and a landscape that takes you from Iowa to the high country of Wyoming and Montana. As the chapters unfold, one focused on each child, Virginia Tranel and her husband search for the ideal place to raise the five daughters and five sons born to them between 1957 and 1978. Tranel artfully weaves daily moments with world events as she reflects on how our culture affects our decisions. She offers candid observations on everything from her reproductive choices and feminism's influence on her thinking to sibling rivalries and her family's emotional response when an architect son emails firsthand reports of the horrors of September 11. Whether considering the issues intrinsic to marriage and child-raising, or questioning her own common sense, her insights are always provocative and deeply moving.

Many people believe in the Power of Positive Thinking, but, until now, no one has credibly explained how it works. It has been this author s mission for 30 years to develop a plausible theory to support how mere thoughts can tangibly influence future events. In this book the author presents a paradigm which shows how our right brain hemisphere can tap into a hidden domain which can influence the world around us. To accomplish this, he takes the reader through the subject of physics as it is known today and points out its recognized flaws and problems. He then introduces and explains Eastern Philosophy and ties it into Western Physics. In conjunction with this broadened view he explains how the human brain developed to comprehend both the Eastern and Western views of reality. He then ties all of these notions into a new view of nature which supports the premise that the future can be created with thoughts. In the final analysis he brings his readers through the necessary steps to put this knowledge to work to help them ordain their own reality.
