S-66 authorizes Nurse Training funds totaling $187 million for the current fiscal year, $218 million for FY 76, and $249 million for FY 77. Included are funds for construction, financial distress, special projects, and capitation grants for nursing schools; loans, grants, and traineeships for students; and two new programs the nurse practitioner training program and the advanced nurse training program (grants and contracts). Authorizations for the new programs are for $20 million for FY 75, $25 million for FY 76, and $30 million for FY 77.
