The shirt on your back has a story to tell. It has had a long journey to get to the store where your parents bought it. This is a book for kids about the journey from cotton and chemicals to a shirt in the store. I studied textiles in college and wanted to write a young readers book about the shirt on your back. I wrote the draft in 2005, and, after a detour with many parenting activities, I began working on illustrations for the book in 2019. I hope you enjoy the completed book. It also has had a long journey from start to finish.

Born in 1921 to first-generation Armenian immigrants, Ed's first hobby was ham radio, but like many young men in the years before World War II, his interest turned to automobiles, especially hot rods.
