The arrangement made with the Devon and Cornwall Record Society for the joint production of the great Pole ms. Was, after all, found unworkable. Although the contents concerned Somerset and Dorset as well as Devon and Cornwall, as the larger part related to the two western counties, it was agreed that the work should be undertaken by the Society for that district, and a beginning will shortly be made in the issue of the work.
