In The Rapture: Biblical Fact or Mans Tradition, author Dr. Dena Stevens considers a subject called rapture pertaining to the end-times and embraced by manyto determine if it is actually taught in the Bible, or if it is only a tradition of men. The consequences of accepting or rejecting this doctrine are of such importance to the eternal, spiritual destiny of man that it is deserving of very close examination. Stevens goes back to the account at the beginning in Genesis, examining scriptural descriptions of Gods divine plan for the world from both the Old and New Testaments, as well as His reasons for placing man on the earth in flesh bodies. She then takes an in-depth look into some of the areas that Gods people have not understood and serves to clarify some questions we have often pondered, but for which we have found no real answers. Stevens examines future prophetic events of the end-times and mans role in them in order to answer the question of her study: is the rapture a doctrine taught in the Bible, or is it only a tradition that man has devised for his own comfort and salvation?

God tells us not to be deceived about the timing of our being caught up to meet Jesus in the air, an event Christians refer to as the rapture. He would not have said that unless there was going to be an avalanche of false teaching with regard to the timing of the rapture in the sequence of end-time events. Diligently studying pertinent scriptures in God’s Word is the only way one can be free of deception and be spiritually prepared for the times that may befall us. This book helps the reader to deeply study the Word of God to see the truth. Chapter after chapter leads to the same conclusion—the rapture will be a post-tribulation event.

The end-times error that leaves the Bible behind! Author David Currie grew up convinced that one day all true Christians will suddenly be snatched up to heaven. The unfortunate souls left behind by this "rapture" will endure seven horrible years of tribulation, at the end of which Christ will return to earth for a glorious thousand-year reign. Today, millions of Christians accept this end-times theology, assuming - as Currie did -- that the Bible clearly teaches it. Many plan their whole lives around it. But, after studying Scripture for decades, Currie has come to see that if you accept the Bible, you have to reject the rapture. In these remarkable pages - which constitute the world's most careful and thorough scriptural study of the rapture - Currie demonstrates why. He considers all the relevant verses (and there are hundreds!) and examines them in the light of ancient history, the writings of the earliest Christians, and the claims of rapturist theologians. With painstaking thoroughness, he unlocks the meanings of the key biblical prophecies that culminate in Christ's Messianic Kingdom - including those verses in Daniel, Matthew, and Revelation that rapturists turn to most. Marshalling evidence that's as startling as it is compelling, Currie argues that these prophecies of war and tribulation don't point to some still-unrealized apocalyptic future. Rather, most of them were fulfilled long ago: the spiritual, priestly Kingdom prefigured in the Old Testament was inaugurated on Calvary, consummated in 70 A.D. with the destruction of the Temple, and continues to exist today . . . in the Catholic Church! That may surprise you. Yet, shows Currie, it's the only conclusion that fits all the scriptural and historical evidence. Rapture: The End-Times Error That Leaves the Bible Behind makes Scripture, prophecy, and history come alive; and it demonstrates that if you open your Bible, you'll find that God's plan for the future of the world is not filled with darkness and disaster, but with light, mercy, and hope. "We can all learn much from David Currie, not only from what he says, which is wise, but from how he says it, which is Catholic and Christian." From the Foreword by Scott Hahn. Special features: Over 1,300 references to Scripture, the early Church Fathers, authors and events in ancient history, and contemporary rapturist theologians Ten detailed timelines relating biblical prophecy to key historical events The biblical case for the rapture (showing why so many accept it) A survey of the thoughts of the early Church Fathers about the end-times A history of the development of rapturist theories, showing how this heresy has been refuted time and again by the Church A short course in the proper methods of reading Scripture A survey of end-times hypotheses from the first century through 9/11/2001 Nine ground rules you must follow if you are to make sense of biblical prophecy and relate it to salvation history A 10-page annotated bibliography of rapturist sources ancient and new Plus, much more to help you understand and evaluate the claims of rapturists Among the sources cited: Julius Africanus • St. Athanasius • St. Augustine • Pope Benedict XV • Andreas of Cappadocia • St. Clement of Alexandria • G. What WAS the Rapture, Anyway? And Who Was it For? Prophetic Message to My Bride September 1, 2014 The Lord is calling His Bride, or His potential Bride to repentance. She's not ready for the Rapture. And He is wanting to prepare her. And, as I have shared in a previous teaching, part of the reason the economy in this country is slumping and the Lord is allowing it, is to get His Bride back from the world. To get her mind off of the things of the world and onto Him. So, you know, we have a lot of prosperity Christians in this country, people who talk about prosperity - that you're not really a successful Christian if you don't have the faith to be prosperous. Nothing could be further from the truth, because prosperity and money was the last thing on the Lord's mind in the New Testament. In the Old Testament, it was sometimes a mark of favor from God, but in the New Testament, the Lord set a standard. He didn't choose to be born as a king, or a prince, or to live like a king or a prince. He chose a simple life, an unpretentious life. A life that was not entrenched in the things of the world. So, He's looking for a Bride who resembles Him. And as I examine my heart every day before the Lord, and I realize the areas where I fall short, I'm writing those things down for you as well. Because I think we can help each other, by recognizing some things about ourselves and sharing them.

Theological dictionaries are foundational to any theological library. But until now there has been no Global Dictionary of Theology, a theological dictionary that presumes the contribution of the Western tradition but moves beyond it to embrace and explore a full range of global expressions of theology. The Global Dictionary of Theology is inspired by the shift of the center of Christianity from the West to the Global South. But it also reflects the increase in two-way traffic between these two sectors as well as the global awareness that has permeated popular culture to an unprecedented degree. The editorial perspective of the Global Dictionary of Theology is an ecumenical evangelicalism that is receptive to discovering new facets of truth through listening and conversation on a global scale. Thus a distinctive feature of the Global Dictionary of Theology is its conversational approach. Contributors have been called on to write in the spirit of engaging in a larger theological conversation in which alternative views are expected and invited. William A. Dyrness, Veli-Matti Kärkkäinen, Juan F. Martinez and Simon Chan edit approximately 250 articles written by over 100 contributors representing the global spectrum of theological perspectives. Pastors, theological teachers, theological students and lay Christian leaders will all find the Global Dictionary of Theology to be a resource that unfolds new dimensions and reveals new panoramas of theological perspective and inquiry. Here is a new launching point for doing theology in today's global context.

Since the fall of man, God had set a time for the final judgment of Satan. The endgame is about to begin, and Satan’s reign on Earth is about to end. This is the final move through his son, the takeover of earth, and the return to Heaven with his armies to conquer and settle the score. Meanwhile, Christ prepares to bring home his own, the saved from eternity past. It is now 1994; in the aftermath of a congressional investigation, a new agency has replaced the CIA, and its director is a man without a past. In an area of Queens, New York, a lodge is destroyed by an unknown source. In the aftermath of the destruction, five individuals and a missionary woman rescue two brothers in a hospital, while in another dimension, Satan plans a strategy to remove Christianity from the last bastion on earth, the United States of America. Working through the man without a past, he suspects seven individuals to be part of a conspiracy to undermine his plans outside the predestined path. The seven, the chosen from the foundations of the earth, are Satan’s main target. Who are these seven? Are they soldiers of Christ the many who are saved to pave the way for the Savior’s return? The man without a past, will he set in motion the events that will lead to the Rapture? Imagine in an alternate time and history what is to happen, for it is a warning of what is to come.
