The practice of the God-ordained way in its four steps should be our experience. The first step is to fulfill the New Testament priesthood of the gospel. To preach the gospel is to get sinners saved to be members of the Body of Christ. The second step is to nourish and feed the new believers in the home meetings. The third step is to perfect the saints through the group meetings.... The fourth and last step of the God-ordained way is prophesying in the church meetings for the building up of the church, consummating in the organic building up of the Body of Christ. We should endeavor to build up the local church. Eventually, this building up will consummate in the building up of the Body of Christ.
For the fulfillment of the Lord's ordained way, the eldership is crucial. We need to see what the eldership should be and what the eldership should do in the Lord's ordained way.
This book is intended as an aid to believers in developing a daily time of morning revival with the Lord in His word. At the same time, it provides a review of the July 2002 summer training on the God-ordained Way. This training covered the book Lessons on the God-ordained Way. Through intimate contact with the Lord in His word, the believers can be constituted with life and truth and thereby be equipped to prophesy in the meetings of the church unto the building up of the Body of Christ.
In this issue we will continue four lines of ministry. The first line--The History of the Lord's Recovery--contains chapters 1 through 4 of The Exercise and Practice of the God-ordained Way, which are in volume 3 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1989. These chapters cover a thorough view of the God-ordained way (the basic principles), the exercise and practice of the gospel preaching in the God-ordained way, definite steps needed for practicing the New Testament priesthood of the gospel, and points for fulfilling the priesthood of the gospel.The second line--Words for New Believers--contains chapters 3 through 6 of Fellowshipping with the Lord for the Mingling of God with Man, which are in volume 3 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1961–1962. These chapters speak on fellowship and the mingling of God with man, learning to fellowship, the difference between the spirit and the soul, and death and resurrection and the salvation of the soul.The third line--Maturing in Life--contains chapters 51 through 54 of Perfecting Training, which are in volume 1 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1980. These chapters cover how to know the genuine leading by the Spirit, a daily living under the leading by the Spirit, the leading of the Spirit being for living, not for doing, and the genuine and proper living of the sons of God.The fourth line--The High Peak of the Divine Revelation--contains chapters 3 through 6 of The Issue of the Dispensing of the Processed Trinity and the Transmitting of the Transcending Christ, which are in volume 2 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1993. These chapters cover the issue of God the Spirit's dispensing speaking forth the application of God's accomplished purpose, the issue of the transmitting of the transcending Christ, the church, and the Body of Christ.

"In God's dispensation and economy, the leading ministry is the priesthood. In this universe God has an administration, a divine economy. His economy is the way He arranges or dispenses. Therefore, it is a kind of dispensation. According to the Bible there are three main ministries in God's divine dispensation: the priesthood, the kingship, and the prophethood. The priesthood is the leading ministry of the three and brings the kingship and prophethood into function. In other words, both the kingship and the prophethood depend upon the leading ministry of the priesthood."
