Lars Larson (1842-1915) and his wife, Olin Embretsdatter (1832-1917), had five children, 1861-1873. The family lived on a farm near Solor, Norway. While the parents remained in Norway, four of their children immigrated to Wisconsin between 1883 and 1908. Descendants, chiefly descendants of their only son, Arne Larson (1863-1947), lived in Wisconsin and elsewhere.

This ten-year supplement lists 10,000 titles acquired by the Library of Congress since 1976--this extraordinary number reflecting the phenomenal growth of interest in genealogy since the publication of Roots. An index of secondary names contains about 8,500 entries, and a geographical index lists family locations when mentioned.
