DOWNLOAD EBOOKFamily history and genealogical information about the descendants of Stefan Johannes Stapel who was born 20 June 1796 in Germany. He was the son of Johann Bernard Aussel Stapel and Anna Maria Willemann. Stefan adopted the Wibbenmeyer surname when he married Anna Maria Elizabeth Wibbenmeyer 20 February 1827 in Germany. Anna died 15 April 1837 and Stefan married Elisabeth Anna Maria Heimann. They immigrated to America and landed in New Orleans 14 January 1850. Stefan and Elizabeth lived in Apple Creek Township, Cape Girardeau Co., Missouri and were the parents of three sons and four daughters. Descendants lived in Missouri, Illinois, Wisconsin, Texas, California and elsewhere.
