Whatever has occurred in my reading, having any reference to the peculiar situation of the Deaf and Dumb, I have perused with a degree of interest, which can scarcely be conceived by him who has not known, by his own sad experience, what it is to be condemned to cease less silence, and, while surrounded by those to whom knowledge obtains a ready entrance through, the ear, to feel that, in this respect, he is cut Off from the cheerful ways of men, - and wisdom at one entrance quite shut out.
