Valentine Waldman was born in Alsace and married Barbara Frundsberg. The family surname was changed to "Waltman". Valentine died in Bavaria ca. 1750. His descendant, Conrad (1715-1796) immigrated to Philadelphia in 1738. He was married to Katherine Bierly (1718-1786).
