Chapter 7 is devoted to collective bargaining in higher education and provides the case law that sets the legal parameters for determining which collective bargaining issues are grievable. Chapter 8 is about student-institutional relationships; it examines such issues as admissions access, affirmative action, gender discrimination, discrimination surrounding disabilities, and standardized tests in admissions.
