For a long time, Iran was an important center of metal working in the ancient world. Luristan bronze ware comprises a wide range of categories: functional and cultic, ceremonial and ritual objects, personal decorations, ornaments, various vessels. Prominent among Luristan bronze artefacts are pins, characteristic in their diversity, quantity and various decorations. Souri Ayazi is the director of the historic department and also responsible for the Luristan related division of the National Museum of Teheran.
