The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1984, volume 2, contains messages given by Brother Witness Lee from February 6 through 18, 1984. During those two weeks Brother Lee held an international training for elders and responsible brothers in Anaheim, California. The messages that were released at that time were published in four volumes, which are included in this volume of The Collected Works of Witness Lee. The contents of this volume are divided into four sections, as follows: 1. Six messages given in Anaheim, California, on February 6 and 7. These messages were previously published in a seven-chapter book entitled Elders' Training, Book 1: The Ministry of the New Testament and are included in this volume under the same title. 2. Twelve messages given in Anaheim, California, on February 8 through 11. These messages were previously published in a thirteen-chapter book entitled Elders' Training, Book 2: The Vision of the Lord's Recovery and are included in this volume under the same title. 3. Nine messages given in Anaheim, California, on February 13 through 15. These messages were previously published in a thirteen-chapter book entitled Elders' Training, Book 3: The Way to Carry Out the Vision and are included in this volume under the same title. 4. Nine messages given in Anaheim, California, on February 16 through 18. These messages were previously published in an eleven-chapter book entitled Elders' Training, Book 4: Other Crucial Matters concerning the Practice of the Lord's Recovery and are included in this volume under the same title.
At the time of regeneration, all believers receive the divine life and are begotten as children of God. Yet, this life most grow and it does so by regulation unto maturity and function. This regulation comes from revelation and issues in obedience. This word is crucial for our progress and training in the divine life for our maturity and function in our living and service to God.
This book presents a vision of Christ and the church. It then goes on the emphasize the need to experience this Christ as the Spirit in our spirit and to practice the church life on the ground of oneness.

The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1991-1992, volume 2, contains messages given by Brother Witness Lee from August 31, 1991, through June 19, 1992. At the end of August 1991 Brother Lee traveled from Anaheim to Berkeley, California. In early September he returned to Anaheim and remained there until the end of November. During that time he visited Huntington Beach, California. At the end of November Brother Lee traveled to Reston, Virginia, for the Thanksgiving weekend conference. In early December he returned to Anaheim and remained there until the end of the third week in May 1992. From there he traveled to Irving, Texas, for the Memorial Day weekend conference. He returned to Anaheim and remained there until the beginning of September, at which time he visited Seattle, Washington, for a weekend conference. He then returned to Anaheim and remained there until the end of the third week in November. During the last week in November he traveled to Atlanta, Georgia, for the Thanksgiving weekend conference, after which he returned to Anaheim and remained there until the end of the year. The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1987, volume 2, contains messages given by Brother Witness Lee from February 10 through December 22, 1987. At the end of January Brother Lee traveled to Taipei, Taiwan, where he remained until the middle of June. From Taipei he returned to Anaheim, California, and was there for about three weeks before returning to Taipei after the first week in July. He remained in Taipei until the first week in December, after which he returned to Anaheim briefly before traveling to Irving, Texas, and remaining there for the remainder of the year. The contents of this volume are divided into eight sections, as follows: 1. A message given in Taipei, Taiwan, on February 10. This message is included in this volume under the title The Need of the Training. 2. Five messages given in Taipei, Taiwan, on March 12 through April 11. These messages are included in this volume under the title Going Forth to Bear Fruit and Causing the Fruit to Remain for the Building of the Church. 3. They were previously published in Chinese and English in a two-volume set entitled Words of Training for the New Way and are included in this volume under the same title. "The entire Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, shows us that God is our enjoyment. God also has His fullness (Eph. 3:19b). He is full for us to enjoy. His fullness is the expression of the riches of Christ, and the reality of Christ is in the Spirit. We know this by the revelation of the Word. The riches of Christ are revealed in the Word. Furthermore, we can realize God as our enjoyment in our spirit (John 4:24)."
In this issue we will continue four lines of ministry. The first line—The History of the Lord’s Recovery—contains chapters 3 through 5 of Guidelines for the Propagation of the Lord’s Recovery, which are in volume 5 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1984. These three chapters, which complete the chapters from this book, speak of loving to live the normal church life, being fervent for the gospel by preaching in the homes and by spreading through migration, and bearing the responsibility to shepherd and teach in the homes and small groups. The section then continues with chapter 1 of a new book, Fellowship concerning the Urgent Need of the Vital Groups, which is in volume 3 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1991–1992. This chapter contains fellowship concerning the practice of the group meetings in the God-ordained way. The second line—Words for New Believers—continues with chapters 11 through 14 of Basic Principles of the Experience of Life, which are in volume 3 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1963. The chapters in this section speak of dealing with the self, the conscience, and the world. The third line—Maturing in Life—contains the final four chapters of The Subjective Experience of the Indwelling Christ, which are in volume 1 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1983. These chapters speak of living out Christ in our human virtues, the subjective salvation of the Triune God, and how to enjoy the subjective salvation of the Triune God. The fourth line—The High Peak of the Divine Revelation—contains the final two chapters of The Issue of Christ Being Glorified by the Father with the Divine Glory, which are in volume 5 of The Collected Works of Witness [8] Lee, 1994–1997. These chapters speak of the three aspects of the incorporation of the consummated God with the regenerated believers and of the functions of the Father’s house, the true vine, and the new child. The final two chapters in this section then begin a new book, The History of God in His Union with Man, which is in volume 4 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1991–1992. These chapters focus on God’s history in eternity past and God’s history in time.
The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1993, volume 2, contains messages given by Brother Witness Lee from May 28 through December 17, 1993. During the first eight months of 1993 Brother Lee was in Anaheim, California. At the beginning of September he visited Seattle, Washington, for one week, after which he returned to Anaheim and remained there until the end of the year. The contents of this volume are divided into nine sections, as follows: 1. Seven messages given in Anaheim, California, on May 28 through 30. These messages were previously published, along with the speaking of forty-six brothers from throughout Southern California, in a book entitled 1993 Blending Conference Messages concerning the Lord's Recovery and Our Present Need and are included in this volume under the same title. Only the outlines of the conference and the portions spoken by Brother Lee are included in The Collected Works of Witness Lee. 2. A message given in Anaheim, California, on May 28. This message is included in this volume as chapter 1 of the previous section entitled 1993 Blending Conference Messages concerning the Lord's Recovery and Our Present Need. Portions of this message were combined with other various writings by Brother Lee concerning the Triune God, and the compilation was previously published in a book entitled The Crucial Points of the Major Items of the Lord's Recovery Today. The contents of this book are included in this volume under the same title. 3. A message given in Anaheim, California, on July 3. This message was divided into two chapters and is included in this volume under the title Remaining in Life and Keeping the One Accord. 4. Four messages given in Anaheim, California, on August 13 through 15. These messages were previously published in a book entitled The Problems Causing the Turmoils in the Church Life and are included in this volume under the same title. 5. Fifteen messages given in Anaheim, California, on August 28 through December 17.
