But again it may be asked, from whence did the Jubilee come Where do we first read of it, and in the history of what people do we find it? All who know anything of the Bible will have a ready answer. It is to be found in the Bible, which comes from the Jews. It is a part of the history of that nation. It was to be kept by them according to the law of God. The Jubilee from first to last is Jewish. Whatever light and comfort and joy it brings, comes from the Jews. Another question will now present itself. How was this Jubilee to be kept, and what was to be done when the time of Jubilee arrived?
