DOWNLOAD EBOOKAmerican gynecologist and surgeon Charles B. Penrose wrote this work in an attempt to deliver the best teaching of modern gynecology, not hampered by old-fashioned theories or methods of treatment. He has recommended one treatment plan for each disease, hoping to avoid complicating things for the student or the physician who consults the book for practical advice. This is a well-structured work in which Penrose has covered all the necessary subjects related to women's health. He included topics such as common causes of diseases in women, methods of examination, diseases of external genitals, diseases of the vagina, diseases of the body of the uterus, diseases of the ovaries, menstrual disorders, and techniques used in gynecological surgeries, etc. He focused on presenting accurate, practical knowledge, leaving the general facts related to anatomy, physiology, and pathology that are easily discoverable in the textbooks on these subjects.

DOWNLOAD EBOOKExcerpt from A d104-Book of Diseases of Women I have written this book for the medical student. I have attempted to present the best teaching of modern gynecology, untrammelled by antiquated theories or methods of treatment. I have, in most instances, recom mended but one plan of treatment for each disease, hop ing in this way to avoid confusing the student or the physician who consults the book for practical guidance. I have, as a rule, omitted all facts of anatomy, phys iology, and pathology which may be found in the gen eral text-books upon these subjects. Such facts have been mentioned in detail only when it seemed important for the elucidation of the subject, or when there were certain points in the pathology that were peculiar to the diseases under consideration. I am indebted to Dr. H. D. Beyea for several pathological drawings, and to Dr. Wm. R. Nicholson for the preparation of the Index.
