These pictures were taken over a span of several years and many countless hours of trying to get the one shot that would capture the beauty that's all around us. It started when I bought my first digital camera to take on vacation. It quickly turned into seeing so much beauty that I always had my camera handy to get that perfect sunset, amazing cloud formation or wave crashing on the beach. I did this book by the grace of God. He supplied me with the money to make it happen and he had one of my best friends push me to publish my photos. I just didn't think it would happen, but when God wants you to do something, he doesn't let up until you listen. For me, taking pictures of God's creations has helped me feel closer to him and to see how blessed I am to have him in my life. I hope you sit and just really enjoy the book as much as I do and to really just see God's Beauty not only in this book but all around each day that you're going to work, driving the kids to school, or just running errands. You can find peace in what you see. Remember, God loves you, and there is nothing you can't do when you let go and let God! #BeABlessing #SmileAtStrangers #BeTheChange

Making God Part of Your Family Volume 3 strives to bring God’s plan to life for individuals and their families as He chose to reveal these truths through the stories in the Old Testament. Most would agree that the Old Testament stories can be difficult to relate to and understand. Veteran Bible teacher Michael Grady retells the Old Testament stories in concise, thought-provoking doses that are easy to understand and intended to stimulate family discussions. He demonstrates that the Old Testament stories are much more than just a history of the Israelites (God’s chosen family); they are parables detailing God’s guide to living and his eternal plan for redemption and salvation for all who choose to believe. The stories in Making God Part of Your Family Volume 3 provide a unique combination—they are both simple enough for children to understand and deep enough for parents to grow in the knowledge and wisdom of God’s Word. This vibrant, yet carefully researched volume brings families closer together and helps them clearly establish their identity as children of God and brothers and sisters of Jesus.

Christians ought to be leading the way in creativity, but we rarely do. God is the Creator of all things, and He created us in His image. Creativity is woven into the very fabric of our humanity. Therefore, Christians should value and champion creativity as a vital part of our image-bearing role. Instead Christians often don’t know what to do with creatives and creatives don’t know what to do with Christianity. On one side you have Christians who neglect or discount art, imagination, and beauty altogether. On the other, you have artists who make idols out of each of these good things. Ryan Lister, a theology professor, and Thomas Terry, a spoken word artist and founder of Humble Beast, team up to help restore the connection between creativity and theology. Images & Idols is a theological and artistic exploration of creativity in the Christian life. It will help creatives build a strong theological foundation for their art, while challenging the church to embrace a theology of beauty and creativity.

Most of us are regular people who have good days and bad days. Our lives are radically ordinary and unexciting. That means they're the kind of lives God gets excited about. While the world worships beauty and power and wealth, God hides his glory in the simple, the mundane, the foolish, working in unawesome people, things, and places. In our day of celebrity worship and online posturing, this is a refreshing, even transformative way of understanding God and our place in his creation. It urges us to treasure a life of simplicity, to love those whom the world passes by, to work for God's glory rather than our own. And it demonstrates that God has always been the Lord of the cross--a Savior who hides his grace in unattractive, inglorious places.Your God Is Too Glorious reminds readers that while a quiet life may look unimpressive to the world, it's the regular, everyday people that God tends to use to do his most important work.
