DOWNLOAD EBOOKInstrumentation and Control of Water and Wastewater Treatment and Transport Systems contains the proceedings of the International Association on Water Pollution Research and Control (IAWPRC) Workshop on Instrumentation and Control of Water and Wastewater Treatment and Transport Systems held in Houston, Texas and Denver, Colorado, from April 27 to May 4, 1985. The papers explore advances in instrumentation and control of water and wastewater treatment and transport systems. This book consists of 122 chapters divided into 18 sections and opens with a brief description of the IAWPRC Study Group on ""Instrumentation for On-line Measurement"". The discussion then turns to the instrumentation, control, and automation initiatives in various countries such as Germany, Japan, and the UK. The following chapters focus on instrument testing, data acquisition and transmission, and monitoring and control of water transport systems and water treatment plants. Distribution network control for water supply systems is considered, along with telemetry control systems and integrated data systems. The final chapter describes an automatic measuring device which uses a computer and image processing technology for measuring the length of filamentous microorganisms in activated sludge. This monograph will be a useful resource for engineers and those concerned with water pollution control.

DOWNLOAD EBOOKVietnam is a rapidly developing, socially dynamic country, where interest in biomedical engineering activities has grown considerably in recent years. The leadership of the Vietnamese government, and of research and educational institutions, are well aware of the importance of this field for the development of the country and have instituted policies to promote its development. The political, economic and social environment within the country offers unique opportunities for the international community and this conference was intended to provide a vehicle for the sharing of experiences; development of support and collaboration networks for research; and exchange of ideas on how to improve the educational and entrepreneurial environment to better address the urgent needs of Vietnam. In January 2004, under the sponsorship of the U.S. National Science Foundation, a U.S. delegation that consisted of Biomedical Engineering professors from different universities in the United States, visited several universities and research institutions in Vietnam to assess the state of development of this field. This delegation proposed a five year plan that was enthusiastically embraced by the international scientific communities to actively develop collaborations with Vietnam. Within this framework, in July 2005, the First International Conference on the Development of Biomedical Engineering in Vietnam was held in Ho Chi Minh City. From that conference a Consortium of Vietnam-International Universities was created to advise and assist the development of Biomedical Engineering in Vietnamese universities.

DOWNLOAD EBOOKThe book is a collection of best papers presented in the Second International Conference on Microelectronics Electromagnetics and Telecommunication (ICMEET 2016), an international colloquium, which aims to bring together academic scientists, researchers and research scholars to discuss the recent developments and future trends in the fields of microelectronics, electromagnetics and telecommunication. Microelectronics research investigates semiconductor materials and device physics for developing electronic devices and integrated circuits with data/energy efficient performance in terms of speed, power consumption, and functionality. The book discusses various topics like analog, digital and mixed signal circuits, bio-medical circuits and systems, RF circuit design, microwave and millimeter wave circuits, green circuits and systems, analog and digital signal processing, nano electronics and giga scale systems, VLSI circuits and systems, SoC and NoC, MEMS and NEMS, VLSI digital signal processing, wireless communications, cognitive radio, and data communication.
