When my granddaughter was burned in a fire accident, I did some research and found most schools in the USA wait to teach the life-saving technique of Stop, Drop, and Roll until 3rd grade, if at all. My mission for this book is to provide education and help children of any age be prepared in a fire emergency. 25% of profits from this book will be donated to Wake Forest Baptist Burn Center in North Carolina. Their care and compassion while treating Emry and helping our family learn how to cope with this tragedy will never be forgotten. Another 25% will be donated to Polk County Fire Rescue in Florida (my home town) to aid in their mission of teaching fire safety to every child in our county.
