This route concept report (RCR) is a planning document that describes the Department's approach to future development of Route 227. The San Luis Obispo County Regional Transportation Plan describes the Route 227 corridor as a two to four lane conventional highway extending fourteen miles between Route 101 in Arroyo Grande, north to the City of San Luis Obispo, west along South Street to Higuera Street and ending at the Madonna Road/Route 101 interchange.
