Someone asks, "Why do we . . . at Church?" The answer could be . . . "We've always done it that way," "If it ain't broke, don't fix it," or, "We don't need to change things and cause confusion." The answers to the questions reveal the heart of the problem in the modern church. "Spilt Grape Juice" hits many sacred traditions we hold dear about church. For example, parents tell their children, "You are going to wear your best clothes to church." When asked about a Sunday activity with friends from work, many Christians respond, "I'll be in church at that time." Root would ask the piercing question, "What do clothes and being in church have to do with worship?" Look again at worship, and the Sunday experience may take on new meaning.

The Food Availability (FA) Data System tracks annual food and nutrient availability for many commodities. The FA data series overstates actual consumption, so the Loss-Adjusted FA data adjusts the FA data for non-edible food parts and food losses, incl., losses from farm to retail, at retail, and at the consumer level. This report proposes new consumer-level loss estimates for "cooking loss and uneaten food" of the edible share to replace those currently used in the Loss-Adjusted FA data and proposes their adoption. Overall, if the proposed loss estimates are used in the loss-adjusted series, the average Amer. would consume 17.3 pds. less each year, or 42 fewer calories per day, than suggested by the currently used loss estimates. The FAD System developed by the ERS tracks annual food and nutrient availability for many commodities. The FAD series in this system overstates actual consumption, so ERS has included an additional series, the Loss-Adjusted Food Availability (LAFA) data, to adjust the FAD for non-edible food parts and food losses, including losses from farm to retail, at retail, and at the consumer level. This report proposes new consumer-level loss estimates for "cooking loss and uneaten food" to replace those currently used in the LAFA data and proposes their adoption for the entire data span. The proposed loss percentages are calculated by subtracting food consumption estimates from food purchase or availability estimates for each food. A print on demand report.

And Gabe Housley wasn’t making things easier for Kat. The twins had hired Gabe to find the real Santa Claus—and he was humoring them! This book has been written with one simple truth in mind. Every human ever born has been fearfully and wonderfully made and has some specific hidden value within them. However, everyone comes to times of feeling and will wonder seriously if there is anything of value in them or their life. Many wonder from time to time if we have anything of value, beauty, or importance to aim for or look forward to beyond our present circumstances, especially if what we are going through is painful and drawn out. It is possible to learn to find treasures in every person, place, and situation that we go through. It is true that sometimes we need some assistance to look beyond the hidden boundaries of the preconditioning of supposed normality. Healing to our emotional eyes and the eyes of our understanding always definitely helps. Once we have begun such a journey, the joy grows from day to day, and so does the many surprises as we learn to see treasures instead of trash.

Paul Graham is a 40 year old man who lives in Edinburgh. He was born in Dundee in Scotland and lived in Arbroath until the age of six. At the age of twelve Paul sadly developed a condition called Hydrocephalus. The word comes from the Greek meaning 'watery head'. Hydrocephalus is an abnormal accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid inside the brain. Paul has two shunts in his head due to this condition and it has left him with some brain damage. On top of this Paul is totally blind. Paul enjoys playing guitar and writing songs and is a devoted fan of the late Elvis Presley. Paul is also a loyal Celtic supporter. As a Christian Paul is concerned about the poverty in the world; and he is firmly opposed to war and violence. Captain Kizzy and the Grapes is not only an exceptionally charming book, and a credit to any writer of children's stories, but it is an extraordinary achievement for someone with Paul Graham's disabilities.
