Width of about 5 miles throughout its course in the county. Its maximum elevation is about 140 feet and its general elevation about 80 feet above the lowland east of it. Its surface is undulating to rolling, owing to the existence Of a. Number of subordinate ridges with the same trend as that of the main ridge. The second lowland belt has a width about the same as that of the first belt. It lies about 100 feet below the general level of the top Of the second ridge.
