We had a young salesman who went overseas. It was his intention, before going, to go in with his father in the repair business. He came into the store recently to see us. I asked him if he was coming back to us or going with his father. He replied he did not think he could be contented inside any more. We asked why, and he replied that he had been out-doors for three years and he could not be contented inside, so would take up land. It was immediately after the American war that the great west of the United States began to be peopled. Thousands of people went on to the land after that war and it is only reasonable to expect that the same will be the result after this war.
