Inside the pages of this book, Rev. Dr. Larry A. Brookins examines three significant contexts from the Bible that bring to the forefront how God views sin and disobedience, whether outside the church among the peoples of the world, or within the church among the congregations of the saints. It also highlights the heart of the God of both Old and New Testaments, as it relates to the life that is lived in submission and conformity to the Will of God. In Seven Things that God Hates, Seven Letters to Seven Churches and Let Go of Your Neighbor's Throat no camouflage is presented. Jesus said: "ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32). The God, Who is Love, has word against the transgressor of His commandments. The goal is not condemnation but correction (see II Timothy 3:16). The objective of divine admonition is forever?“repentance” (see II Peter 3:9). More than anything else God desires to bless, but He will curse. More than anything else the gates of Heaven invite all, but what of the reality of Hell? The love of God is unconditional and embraces every sinner with an invitation to salvation, regardless of individual sin. But don't misinterpret divine love for acceptance of a lifestyle that displeases God and or for absolute salvation without the condition of faith and obedience. Jesus died for all, but not all will enjoy the fruit of His sacrifice.

Contained within this book are seven sermons that are God-inspired with the purpose of bringing to the forefront of Gods people the great need for each of us to look at ourselves with a desire to rid from our lives all things, inclusive of people, that inhibit and corrupt our walk with Him. There is a focus on our thought life, words, associations, inclinations, and the actions we perform that are misrepresentative of God and displeasing to Him. The topics are: Operation Detox, Thinking Positive Thoughts, Do You Want to Be Made Whole, We Are What We Think, Fatal Attractions, Detoxifying the Tongue, and Lord Clean This House from the Inside Out. It is my prayer that these manuscripts will inspire and impact your life as much as they did to those who heard them when I first preached them. I am certain that they will. So, let the journey begin toward a more healthier, holier, and authentic you.

This book explores a series of Dramatic Encounters, from the Gospel of St. John where a variety of persons come into contact with the Lord Jesus, and these contacts have a profound impact on their lives. Webster defines drama as: A poem or composition representing a picture of human life, and accommodated to action. These human characters come from divers backgrounds, with a variety of issues and hang-ups, but one thing they all have in common, when they encounter the Savior, the status quo of their lives is severely interrupted. The hidden recesses of their hearts are exposed to the light of day and the power of His presence always produces a response. It is impossible to be in the presence of Christ without being affected by Him.

In the book of Revelation, God unveils the world as it really is, identifying an unseen spiritual war and announcing a very real day of judgment. We need to be convinced that Jesus is reigning as the risen King. We need to have him speak to the situation in our churches. We need to see how God will pulverize wickedness, obliterate those who oppose him, and set up his kingdom. Revelation has exactly what we need. Useful for personal study, as well as for preaching and teaching (Hamilton even includes helpful charts and tables to highlight key themes and literary elements), the thirty-seven sermons in this volume have a clear structure: introduction, body, and conclusion. Hamilton successfully grabs the reader's attention, raises awareness of a real need, and states the main point of the sermon text. In addition to explaining the meaning of each passage, Hamilton connects the main ideas to applicable analogies and actionable points. Revelation is a prophecy of epic proportions and Hamilton invites readers to love God and his people by expositing this revelation of Jesus, and to say along with the apostle John, "Come, Lord Jesus." Part of the Preaching the Word series.

There has never been another book like the Bible. And there never will be. Only the Word of God is living and enduring (1 Peter 1:23) and is more precious than much pure gold (Psalm 19:10). Only the Bible is God-breathed (2 Timothy 3:16). Being divinely inspired, the Holy Bible deserves our full attention, reverent study, and diligent application. God has spoken, and His words have been written down, preserved, and translated for our eternal benefit. The Bible answers lifes most important questions, but it also raises questions from many quarters. From the skeptic: Why should I take stories of miracles literally? From pastors: What is the difference between exegesis and eisegesis? From the neophyte: Where is a good place to start reading the Bible? From the merely curious: What is a shekel? Got Questions Ministries has been answering questions about the Bible since 2002. In this book are one hundred of those questions and their Bible-based answers. May you find this volume helpful in understanding the Book, and may you do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who correctly handles the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15).
