During the course of my quest for truth, knowledge and nature of reality over the last 40 years or so, considerable valuable inner knowledge has been opened to me from numerous and diverse sources, knowledge which I have since been blessed to share with readers of my books, newsletters and websites. When I recently discovered and started to read Science of Being by The Baron Eugene Fersen, originally made available to very few selected, privileged people in the form of a series of twenty seven individual lessons, I knew at once that these are no ordinary texts. It very soon became apparent to me in fact that this is an extremely profound and important collection of wisdom, knowledge and teachings, and without doubt some of the very greatest I have personally ever seen on these most important matters. Science of Being is not only one of the very first texts on The Law of Attraction ever written, if not the first, it is, in my view, one of the most profound and important texts ever written in absolute terms, written by a true Lightbearer for humanity, and which reach far beyond The Law of Attraction to encompass many other Universal Principles.. It also very soon became clear to me that many of the most well known Law of Attraction and Metaphysics authors must, at least to some extent, directly or indirectly have learned from this great teacher of teachers. No other book ever published on The Law of Attraction however goes as deeply or as clearly as Science of Being. It is now my very great pleasure to make available to you this rare, once almost lost collection of twenty seven lessons including exercises, questions and answers in the form of a single powerful book, that all who are blessed and most privileged to read it may profoundly benefit from its valuable and indeed crucial teachings, your life thus being blessed with health, abundance and happiness, as well as further enhancing your own knowledge of the true nature of the Universe, and the Universal Principles, including The Law of Attraction, which infinitely shape our lives and reality. INTERNATIONAL BESTSELLER A Best Book of 2021—Bloomberg Businessweek; A Best Science Book of 2021—The Guardian; A Best Science Book of 2021—Financial Times; A Best Philosophy Book of 2021—Five Books; A Best Book of 2021—The Economist Anil Seth's quest to understand the biological basis of conscious experience is one of the most exciting contributions to twenty-first-century science. What does it mean to “be you”—that is, to have a specific, conscious experience of the world around you and yourself within it? There may be no more elusive or fascinating question. Historically, humanity has considered the nature of consciousness to be a primarily spiritual or philosophical inquiry, but scientific research is now mapping out compelling biological theories and explanations for consciousness and selfhood. Now, internationally renowned neuroscience professor, researcher, and author Anil Seth is offers a window into our consciousness in BEING YOU: A New Science of Consciousness. Anil Seth is both a leading expert on the neuroscience of consciousness and one of most prominent spokespeople for this relatively new field of science. His radical argument is that we do not perceive the world as it objectively is, but rather that we are prediction machines, constantly inventing our world and correcting our mistakes by the microsecond, and that we can now observe the biological mechanisms in the brain that accomplish this process of consciousness. Seth has been interviewed for documentaries aired on the BBC, Netflix, and Amazon and podcasts by Sam Harris, Russell Brand, and Chris Anderson, and his 2017 TED Talk on the topic has been viewed over 11 million times, a testament to his uncanny ability to make unimaginably complex science accessible and entertaining.

Well-being, happiness and quality of life are now established objects of social and medical research. Does this science produce knowledge that is properly about well-being? What sort of well-being? The definition and measurement of these objects rest on assumptions that are partly normative, partly empirical and partly pragmatic, producing a great diversity of definitions depending on the project and the discipline. This book, written from the perspective of philosophy of science, formulates principles for the responsible production and interpretation of this diverse knowledge. Traditionally, philosophers' goal has been a single concept of well-being and a single theory about what it consists in. But for science this goal is both unlikely and unnecessary. Instead the promise and authority of the science depends on it focusing on the well-being of specific kinds of people in specific contexts. Skeptical arguments notwithstanding, this contextual well-being can be measured in a valid and credible way - but only if scientists broaden their methods to make room for normative considerations and address publicly and inclusively the value-based conflicts that inevitably arise when a measure of well-being is adopted. The science of well-being can be normative, empirical and objective all at once, provided that we line up values to science and science to values.
