Samuel Sherard Sr. (d.1833), a son of the brother, was born en route, lived in Sussex County, New Jersey, married Elizabeth Holley in 1784, and moved to Butler County, Ohio and in 1832 to Clinton County, Indiana. James Sherard (1789-1843), a son of Samuel Sr., moved with his father to Butler County, Ohio, married Nancy Cornelison in 1812, served in the War of 1812, and moved to Clinton County, Missouri. Descendants of James lived in Ohio, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, California and elsewhere.
