Creo quie el Registro para evitará lo que su preparación nos ha mostrado repetidamente: una misma palabra estudiada por dos eruditos, iugnorando el segundo que su doctrina había sido ya presentada por el otro en una publicación de escasa circulación o en uno de los muchos centenares de volúmenes que integran las revistas nacionales y extranjeras. Les será algo útil el Registro a los comentaristas para hallar fácilmente otros textos -- entre los 80,000 referencias que contiene -- con la misma voz que les interesa o con su explicación. Algo aprovechará, asimismo, a los jóvenes investigadores el cuidado que he puesto en la correcta acentuación de voces clásicas, mal acentuadas a veces por los mismos que las estudian o registran, así como el cuidado en la debida ortografía de vocablos que, mal escritos en los textos -- sin que su mala ortografía represente valor fonético o singularidad alguna digna de tenerse en cuenta -- haría difícil su hallazgo en el registro.
