DOWNLOAD EBOOKThis is an open access book. The global economy is by definition the movement of resources (goods, services and capital) across national borders. The more open relations between countries will affect changes in the regional and global regions, this condition is characterized by the level of domestic economic resilience. Currently, technology with its dynamics requires every country to move to follow, citing at the G20 the role of multilateral trading system to strengthen the achievement SDGs, digital trade sustainable, global value chains (GVCs) and sustainable and inclusive industrialization via industry 4.0. Based on the statement above, it shows that modernization and sustainable 4.0 equivalent industrialization are the demands of multi-sectors including the agricultural sector. For Indonesia, agriculture plays a strategic role in the national economy, with the challenges of sustainable agriculture, the role of agriculture is shown in addition to being a provider of food, industrial raw materials, feed and bioenergy, a source of labor absorption, a source of state foreign exchange as well as environmental preservation with an environmentally friendly farming program approach. Sustainable agriculture practices are ideal, but the dimensions of the scope of sustainable agriculture interests and the substance of their meaning are definitely different. Through the international agricultural seminar or The 3rd International Conference Agriculture (ICA) with the theme Modernization And Industrialization To Support Sustainable Agriculture Facing Global Economy which will be held on September 21, 2022 is one of the efforts in equalizing understanding and collecting sustainable farming innovations that are in line with the sustainable development goals and have become the country's commitment in order to implement the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the face of the global economy.

DOWNLOAD EBOOKThis book focuses on the production technology of temperate nuts. It explores cultivar and plant improvement, development and selection of rootstocks, plant–water relations and irrigation, canopy architecture, and postharvest packaging of nut fruits. It also deals with organic approaches, biotechnological interventions, diseases, and pest management. Contributing authors address nut fruits such as walnut, pecan nut, chestnut, and hazel nut on different recent aspects. The development achieved in the fruit sector is indicative of the fact that there is growing demand of fruit produce. Temperate nuts with health benefits and market acceptability have best sources of fat, fiber, protein, and mineral. They provide dietary fiber, potassium, and a variety of health-protective bioactive compounds. Apart from the health benefits, production of temperate nuts improves the economy of the country as these are very good source of income and employment. In addition, there is wide diversification in the production pattern of nuts globally. Increased production technology such as hybrids, high-yielding selections/ varieties, improved propagation techniques, and increased use of fertilizers and manures have brought spectacular increase in the production of nut fruits. This book is of interest to teachers, scientists, researchers, and scholars. Also, the book serves as additional reading material for undergraduate and postgraduate students of agriculture and horticulture. Horticulture nurseries and orchard industries also find this to be a useful read.

DOWNLOAD EBOOKMicropropagation is a technology that has developed within the past 30 years. Earlier overviews of plant tissue culture have reviewed micropropagation as just one of many tissue culture procedures in use. Since the applications of this technology have multiplied so rapidly in recent years, we decided that a specific overview of the technology was now appropriate Our book begins with a review of the general principles of tissue culture as applied to micropropagation. This review is concise since the general topic has been covered in numerous other books and reviews. The basic principles of laboratory design and construction are summarized in the second chapter. Common problems encountered in micropropagation, both during and after culture, are examined in detail in four chapters. As micropropagation developed from a laboratory curiosity to a commercial industry, different considerations became important. These are discussed in two chapters. An attempt has been made to assess the current status of commercial production around the world. This has been difficult because commercial production figures are often closely guarded and little has been done to collect statistics on this growing industry. Applications to a broad range of crops are discussed in a series of chapters. These try to report the state of the art in each area, but since applications for some crops are much more advanced than for others, the focus of these chapters varies depending upon the progress that has been made.
