Resolved, That in case of deficiency in any appropriation, the County Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to transfer from the general fund, poor fund or highway fund to such appropriation, any unexpended balance standing to the credit of such fund, for the purpose of meeting any payment ordered by this Board or required by law, which amounts are hereby appropriated to such purpose. And be it further Resolved, That there be levied and assessed upon the property of the County of Ulster, taxable therefor, for the general fund $217,230.63, for the poor fund $21,354.00, making a total amount of $238,584.63, and for the highway fund, $42,291,67, and moved its adoption. Lounsbery, Van Etten and Coons offered the following: Resolved, Pursuant to Section 3314 of the Code of Civil Procedure of the State of New York, that beginning January 1st, 1919, the compensation allowed to each grand and trial juror be fixed at the sum of four dollars ($4.00) per day for each day's attendance at a term of a court of record, of civil or criminal jurisdiction, held within the County of Ulster, in addition to the statutory fee allowed to trial jurors, prescribed by Section 3313 of the Code of Civil Procedure; and further Resolved, That, in addition thereto, each grand and trial juror shall be entitled to receive five cents for each mile necessarily traveled by him in going to and returning from the term of court at which he attends; and further Resolved, That a juror shall be entitled to mileage...
