This report lists Commission priorities for 1997-99 and defines & describes specific investigations undertaken to support each priority in chapters prepared by four advisory groups. Chapter 4, from the Indicators Implementation Task Force, reviews activities to investigate environmental indicators that could be used to monitor progress under the Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement. Chapter 5, from the Great Lakes Council of Research Managers, summarizes activities related to identification of research needs & priorities. The last chapter is from the International Air Quality Advisory Board and includes a review of air contaminant modelling research and a summary of an air quality workshop.
