John White (fl. 1657-1676) married widow Mary Phips, widow of partner James Phips, between 1657 and 1662 in Pemaquid (later Wiscasset or Wolwich), Maine. She married a third time after John's death. Andrew Dickson White (1832-1918) was a direct descendant in the eighth generation. Descendants and relatives lived in New England, New York, New Jersey, Virginia and elsewhere.
