The Center for Archaeological Research, Southwest Missouri State University conducted Phase II testing on three archaeological sites TWO PREHISTORIC (11MT207 and 11MT2O9) and one historic (11MT2O3) at the Bo Wood Recreation Area, Lake Shelbyville, located in Moultrie County, Illinois. Based on the field work and subsequent laboratory analysis, it was determined that only one site (11MT209), a Middle Woodland or early Late Woodland occupation in the Bo Wood campground area, is eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places. The other two sites are not deemed eligible due to substantial cultural disturbances to the sites that have caused the loss of the sites' integrity.
