Intuition and transformation expert Penney Peirce helps you understand how a profound shift in perception can result in personal and societal transformation. She shows you how to develop the new “attention skills” that will allow you to thrive in the new Intuition Age. Building on the first two books in the Peirce’s Transformation series, Leap of Perception, with a foreword by Martha Beck, is a comprehensive guide to understanding—and navigating—the “paradigm shift.” The Information Age is accelerating to a point where life will soon make a “leap” into the Intuition Age, where the abilities of the analytical left brain balance with the vast intuitive wisdom and visionary capacity of the right brain. The resulting reality will function by different rules, and we’ll become a new kind of human being. We’ll live in a vast present moment, closer to the speed of light, aware of much more than we ever were before. You will learn to materialize the situations—and outcomes—you want, resolve conflict in relationships, expand your creativity, reduce exhaustion and anxiety from multitasking, ease fear caused by the transformation process, work with the collective unconscious, and develop new skills like telepathy, clairvoyance, applied empathy, rapid healing, and more.

Human beings are in contact with the world through their minds. One can make sensory perceptual contact with the world: One sees the tree and hears its leaves flutter. And one makes cognitive contact with the world: One forms beliefs about the tree, memories of how it was in the past, and expectations of how it will be in the future. Can the first, perception, be influenced in important ways by the second, cognition? Do cognitive states such as memories, beliefs, and expectations affect what one perceives through the senses? And what is the importance of these possible relations to how we theorize and understand the human mind? Possible cognitive influence on perception (sometimes called "cognitive penetration of perception") has been long debated in philosophy of mind and cognitive science: Some argue that such influence occurs, while others argue that it does not or cannot. In this excellent introduction and overview of the problem, Dustin Stokes examines the following: The philosophical and scientific background to cognition and perception Contemporary ways of distinguishing cognition and perception Questions about the representational content of perception versus cognition Distinct theories of mental architecture: modularity versus malleability Consequences for epistemology, philosophy of science, and aesthetics Philosophical and scientific research on perceptual attention Perceptual skill, learning, and expertise Perceptual content, objectivity, and cultural bias. Additional features, such as chapter summaries, suggestions for further reading, and a glossary, make Thinking and Perceiving an ideal resource for students of philosophy of mind and psychology, cognitive psychology, and cognitive science.

Energy is everywhere. Everything in and of the universe is energy, including, but not limited to those things you can see, such as, the material things around you and the bodies of all creatures including, humans. Energy extends well beyond what you can see and even into the depths of the unknown - the black hole. Energy is before you and around you and in you as you read these lines. It is there waiting to be tapped into and utilized. The most important and misunderstood and misinterpreted energy is thought. For most people it seems nearly impossible not to think. Unfortunately, an estimated 80% of people's thoughts are negative. Negative thoughts are counter productive to mental and physical health and wellbeing as well as longevity of the material body. Energy Transcendence not only gives you a background in energy but it also gives you answers to pave your road back to a healthier happier YOU. The breathing and meditation exercises may seem hard at first, but keep trying. Once achieved, you will be able to handle and control stress, even though you may not understand the full meaning of the word "stress." A more complete understanding of stress is found by listening to Dr Lytle's Healing Light DVD on Proprioception to the Brain Everyone is unique and will approach a book like this in his or her own way. Here are some suggestions on how you can extract the most from Energy Transcendence. The first part of this book is background and is non-interactive; in contrast, the chapters on breathing and psycho-physical rehearsal require your participation. I am a messenger for Jack Schwarz and Buddy Frumker from which much of the knowledge and wisdom in this book is gleaned with embellishment from your author. If you are like me, you may want to read the table of contents, the preface and chapter 1 on transcendence, and then go directly to the interactive part of the book. Unless you are already a skilled meditator, you may want to try the quick meditation techniques in chapter 7, and then delve more into chapter 9 on psycho-physical rehearsal and chapter 10 to begin practicing your breathing rhythms. For the very busy person, the most important chapter is 12 on Transcendence with low level lasers. Other readers may intuitively and immediately know Energy Transcendence is exactly what they have been waiting for and will begin to devour it. Learning to meditate was a "hard learn" for me until I began the "count the single breath" method explained in chapter 7. Try this method first. If it works for you, it is a quick way to energy transcendence and balance. But to get the most out of meditation it is necessary to go through the book exactly as it's written. In this way, you'll get the background material necessary to understand and benefit from the exercises and meditations. Begin practicing the exercise explained appendix 1 as soon as possible. Good luck on the wonderful journey that lies before you!

Volume 2 addresses stereoscopic vision. It starts with the physiology of stereoscopic mechanisms. It then deals with binocular rivalry, binocular summation, and interocular transfer. A review of how images are brought into binocular register is followed by a review of stimulus tokens used to detect disparities. Cyclopean effects, such as cyclopean illusions, cyclopean motion, texture segregation, and binocular direction are reviewed. Factors that influence stereoacuity are discussed. Two chapters describe how stimuli in distinct depth planes produce contrast effects, and affect motion perception and whiteness perception. The Pulfrich stereomotion effect and perception of motion in depth are reviewed. The volume ends with a review of applications of stereoscopy.

Frequency gives readers the tools to understand how and why their natural frequency interacts with the world around them. Because we see the world from a physical perspective, we often don't notice what's right in front of us -- that our spirit, thoughts, emotions, and body are all made of energy. Inside us and everywhere around us, life is vibrating. In fact, each of us has a personal vibration that accurately communicates who we are to the world and helps shape our reality. Frequency shows readers how to feel their personal vibration, improve it, and use it to shift their life from ordinary to extraordinary. A simple shift in frequency can change depression to peace, anger to stillness, and fear to enthusiasm. Weaving together basic ideas from quantum physics with proven intuition development techniques, Frequency takes readers into deeper concepts only hinted at in recent popular books and DVD's featuring the Law of Attraction. By learning to refine the "conscious sensitivity" of their body, readers can improve relationships, find upscale solutions to problems, and materialize a life that contains everything they want and need to live their destiny. Frequency gives readers a reassuring, step-by-step roadmap into a positive state of awareness that Peirce calls The Intuition Age. By learning to use "frequency principles" -- methods based on the way energy actually functions -- readers can keep their energy level high and productive, receive subtle information directly from the environment via "empathic resonance," and quickly free themselves from negative or low "vibrations."

The three-volume work Perceiving in Depth is a sequel to Binocular Vision and Stereopsis and to Seeing in Depth, both by Ian P. Howard and Brian J. Rogers. This work is much broader in scope than the previous books and includes mechanisms of depth perception by all senses, including aural, electrosensory organs, and the somatosensory system. Volume 1 reviews sensory coding, psychophysical and analytic procedures, and basic visual mechanisms. Volume 2 reviews stereoscopic vision. Volume 3 reviews all mechanisms of depth perception other than stereoscopic vision. The three volumes are extensively illustrated and referenced and provide the most detailed review of all aspects of perceiving the three-dimensional world. Volume 2 addresses stereoscopic vision in cats and primates, including humans. It begins with an account of the physiology of stereoscopic mechanisms. It then deals with binocular rivalry, binocular summation, binocular masking, and the interocular transfer of visual effects, such as the motion aftereffect and visual learning. The geometry of the region in binocular space that creates fused images (the horopter) is discussed in some detail. Objects outside the horopter produce images with binocular disparities that are used for stereoscopic vision. Two chapters provide accounts of mechanisms that bring the images into binocular register and of stimulus tokens that are used to detect binocular disparities. Another chapter discusses cyclopean effects, such as cyclopean illusions, cyclopean motion, and binocular direction that are seen only with binocular vision. Stereoacuity is the smallest depth interval that can be detected. Methods of measuring stereoacuity and factors that influence it are discussed. Two chapters deal with the various types of binocular disparity and the role of each type in stereoscopic vision. Another chapter deals with visual effects, such as figure perception, motion perception, and whiteness perception that are affected by the relative distances of stimuli. The spatiotemporal aspects of stereoscopic vision, including the Pulfrich stereomotion effect are reviewed. The volume ends with an account of techniques used to create stereoscopic displays and of the applications of stereoscopy.

• Describes how energy therapies are now gaining acceptance due to irrefutable proof of their effectiveness for clinical conditions from PTSD to phantom limb pain • Examines the power of group energetics and team chemistry in sports and in society • Explains how megalithic sacred sites are aligned with Earth’s subtle energies and explores the energetics of crop circles and global consciousness Examining the wealth of evidence supporting the reality of the human biofield, Eric Leskowitz, M.D., explores the role of life energy in healing therapies and outlines its many manifestations at the individual, group, and global levels. He shows how energy therapies have been taboo in the West, from the French Royal Academy’s suppression of Franz Mesmer’s animal magnetism, to the FDA’s persecution of Wilhelm Reich and his orgone box therapy, to Wikipedia’s biased coverage of energy psychology. He then reveals irrefutable evidence for the clinical benefits of energy-based therapies and describes the obstacles he faced in his own attempts to bring these holistic approaches into the world of academic medicine. The author’s detailed exploration of phantom limb pain shows that this phenomenon is not a psychosomatic creation of the brain but is a tangible energetic structure: the human biofield in action. Exploring group energetics and team chemistry, he looks at how group situations— a concert, a meditation retreat, a sporting event—create their own energetic power. He shares the results of his innovative computer measurements during Red Sox baseball games, proving that group energies can be detected when fans become entrained in resonance to the larger field. He explores how Stonehenge and other megaliths were built in alignment with Earth’s own energy meridians, and he proposes that the mysterious phenomenon of crop circles may be emerging in harmony with Earth’s subtle energies. Blending hard science with ancient healing wisdom, the author reveals how we can all thrive together by remembering our shared energetic roots and our undeniable interconnectedness through the global web of life energy and consciousness itself.

If you consciously immerse into your immediate surroundings with your energy-based, expanded perception, you easily perceive that there is obviously a level around you that you cannot grasp with your physical organs of perception. This level currently attracts many people and at the same time leads to a multitude of human fantasies and thus a lot of manmade realities. What a person perceives in his surroundings by means of his expanded, energy-based perception does not necessarily correspond to the truth, because every human perceives accordingly to his very personal level of development and thus his very personal awareness. He perceives in his own level, therefore.
