James and Sarah lived in Warren Co., Tennessee and were the parents of six known children. Descendants lived in Tennessee, Missouri, Oklahoma, Colorado, California and elsewhere.

Carrie Eliza Kerby was born in 1874 in Missouri. She married twice to Thomas S. Quarles and Thomas McConnell and had two children. She lived her entire life in Missouri. Lawrence Routh was born about 1660 in Hawes, Yorkshire, England and married Anne Metcalfe. They immigrated in 1688 to Easton, Talbot Co., Maryland and moved to Chester Co., Pennsylvania. He died in 1691 and his widow married Humphrey Johnson and had several more children.
