For over 25 years, Rabbi Elchonon Goldenberg has been teaching Parsha in a unique way that kept his students enthralled and helped them remember it for years after. An artist by nature, his simple stick figures are like no other, the expressions accurate, the details vivid, capturing Midrashim and Rashis with accuracy. His style of teaching still continues and remains very effective, leaving children with accurate memories of what they were taught in school.- Parsha Stix simplifies complicated scenes by limiting detail, while including many important aspects all at once.- The words from the actual Posuk are on the page, so children can mentally associate the words they follow in Shul with the words they read in class.- The easy format allows children to remember accurate details as they say over the Parsha at their Shabbos table.- The sheets bridge the gap between school and home, illustrating to parents how much their children gain in their school and helping children retain information learned in a different location. In response to the numerous requests to publish this work which teachers have been using in its raw form for many years, we are pleased to present the first edition in booklet form. Since the objective of this booklet is greater understanding of the parsha through the use of stick figures, it has been named "Parsha Stix," subtitled "Nir'eh V'Nishma ," "We will see and we will understand."

For over 25 years, Rabbi Elchonon Goldenberg has been teaching Parsha in a unique way that kept his students enthralled and helped them remember it for years after. He would act out the scenes in front of the class and accompany the presentation with illustrated sheets for the children to take home and retell what they remembered. An artist by nature, his simple stick figures are like no other, the expressions accurate, the details vivid, capturing Midrashim and Rashis with accuracy. - Parsha Stix simplifies complicated scenes by limiting detail, while including many important aspects all at once. - The words from the actual Posuk are on the page, so children can mentally associate the words they follow in Shul with the words they read in class. - The easy format allows children to remember accurate details as they say over the Parsha at their Shabbos table. - The sheets bridge the gap between school and home, illustrating to parents how much their children gain in their school. Since the obejctive of this booklet is greater understanding of the parsha through the use of stick figures, it has been named "Parsha Stix," subtitled "Nir'eh V'nishma," "We will see and will understand." Depending on the grade being taught, and the times available for Parsha each week, this booklet can be used in a number of ways. For younger grades, the teacher can explain to the class the meaning of the pictures, in whatever style he/she is comfortable with, either lecture/acting out, or in other interactive ways. Our recommendation is to involve the students as much as possible, either with group discussion, picture drawing, or note taking, depending on age and ability. Using a projector or a smartboard with a laser pointer always helps for further visual stimulation. For older grades who are more capable, looking up sources of the information.

This book is the Pocket Edition of Sefer Shemos of our corresponding book "The Weekly Parsha Summary." The intent of this book is to serve as a general outline and summary of the topics discussed in each Parsha together with their crucial details. It is meant to be used for quick reference and as a review tool of the weekly Parsha. How many of us sit through the weekly Torah reading in Shul on Shabbos but have no knowledge of its content? How many of us have sat by our Shabbos table wanting to say something regarding the Parsha, but can't seem to remember its content? How many of us have children who need to study for a Parsha test but are too overwhelmed by the amount of material required to review. While many scholarly books of translations of the Chumash have been printed and made available to the English-speaking public, flipping through a Chumash with or without a translation, is a long and mentally tiring task. How great would it be to have a general summary and outline with topics and subtopics available in front of us as a quick reference and reminder of what the Parsha speaks about? Well, it's finally here! An outline and summary of the entire Chumash, one Parsha at a time, split in accordance to Aliyos, with an enumeration of the Mitzvos found in each Parsha, the amount of verses it contains, and the weekly Haftorah. Last, but not least, this Sefer will help Jews world over to fulfill one of the basic Biblical commands of Torah learning which includes an obligation upon all males to study and become an expert in the content of all the Parshiyos in the Torah.
